Our doctors all have years of experience in the profession. They work in concert with nurses and office staff who try to understand your health issues quickly and apply the right treatment to get you back to your optimal health.
Dr. Debra Jordan
Dr. Debra Jordan is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and has practiced in the state of Georgia since 1989. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology from Michigan State University. Dr. Jordan received her medical degree from Michigan State University. After medical school, she did her internship and residency training in Detroit, Mich. She has practiced in the states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia. She is a former board member of Boys and Girls Club. In spite of her busy schedule, Dr. Jordan finds time to be a guest speaker at many community youth and church organizations. She is an active member of Austin Chapel Baptist Church. She is married and has a 27 year old son.
Dr. Heather Edwards
Dr. Edwards completed medical school at Loma Linda University in California. She then traveled to Pennsylvania and completed her OB/GYN residency program at Temple University. Dr. Edwards also has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Northern Caribbean University. She has blended her nursing and medical degrees to provide compassionate care to her patients.
Anne Sigouin, CNM
Anne Sigouin is the first certified nurse midwife employed at Life Cycle OB/GYN, which was founded in 2001. She started her midwifery career while serving on active duty in the US Army. She received her Master's Degree in Nursing with Midwifery from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. She brings 20 years of midwifery experience and her love and compassion for all people to the practice.
Melissa G. Jones, CNM
Melissa G. Jones, CNM, is a native of Henderson, Tenn. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Tennessee State University in 1997, and her Master’s of Science in Nursing (Midwifery) from Vanderbilt University in 2003. Melissa remains a registered dental hygienist as well as a certified nurse midwife, and incorporates her dental expertise with her midwifery practice. She enjoys high risk obstetrics and gynecology as well as low risk. Melissa empowers the community through education, sound clinical practice, and an outstanding understanding of family and alternative lifestyles. Hobbies include family, travel, cycling, gardening, and vegetarianism.
April Witzel, MSN, CNM
April Witzel, MSN, CNM, received her Master's Degree in Nursing specializing in midwifery from Frontier University in 2011. April is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. April's passion is to educate, empower, and support childbearing families while improving the safety of childbirth through emotional, nutritional, and physical balance. She enjoys providing full scope, evidence based, midwifery care to a diverse client population and specializes in contraception counseling, prenatal care, childbirth, and women's annual exams. April is the proud mother of four children and "Mimi" to two precious grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Marie Nakande, CNM
Marie attended nursing school at Georgia State University. Before becoming a midwife, Marie worked as a nurse in Labor and Delivery for eight years. She received her Masters in Nurse-Midwifery and Women’s Health from Georgetown University in December 2014. She then worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife in Gallup, New Mexico before coming to Life Cycle OB/GYN. Marie is passionate about providing individualized, high-quality care to women and encourages women to play an active role in maintaining their own health.
Marie is originally from Cameroon, Central Africa. She relocated to the United States in 2002. She is married and has 3 children. Her time away from work is usually spent with her family and friends.
Heidi Pham, CNM
Heidi Pham, CNM is a native of the Pacific Northwest. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Midwifery from the University of Washington. She relocated from Seattle, WA to Atlanta, GA with her husband and daughter in 2017 and joined Life Cycle OB/GYN. As a Certified Nurse Midwife, Heidi believes in the innate strength and intuition of women and provides full-scope midwifery care within this philosophy. She enjoys supporting and empowering women of all ages, especially during adolescence, childbearing years, and peri menopause. Heidi’s interests outside of midwifery include exploring outdoors, hiking, traveling, cooking, spending time with family, and attending church gatherings.
Marguerite Doctor, MD
Dr. Marguerite Doctor was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon high school graduation, she matriculated to Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio where she majored in biology. Her educational pursuits then led her to Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Doctor completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Doctor has served in various medical communities as both clinician and associate professor. She has practiced medicine in the states of California, Pennsylvania, Florida, South Carolina and Ohio. She has also participated in medical missions in Nairobi, Kenya. In addition, to her medical pursuits, Dr. Doctor served as a lieutenant commander in the United States Navy. Dr. Doctor has entered a new season in her life. She successfully completed the Master of Divinity and Master of Public Health dual degree program at Emory University in May 2016. Dr. Doctor is equipped to effect change not only on the individual level with her patients, but, on the community level as well.
Kenny Verpile, MD
Dr. Kendy Verpile attended medical school at Saint George’s University School of Medicine and finished her residency at Saint Vincent/St John Catholic Medical Center in Queens, New York. She is board certified and has spent the last seven years serving women in the state of New York. She brings her expertise of gynecological surgery and of high and low risk obstetrics to Life Cycle OB/GYN. She is fluent in French, Spanish, Creole and English. She loves spending time with her family.
